...survival is simple - just don't die.

What is Wilderness Survival?

Understanding the environment into which you will be entering in order to assess the potential risks and hazards inherent in that environment

Preparing yourself to reduce exposure to potential risk and injury in a survival situation

Learning and developing the knowledge, the skill, and the will to keep yourself alive under any conditions, and often alone, until rescue is made either by the efforts of others or under your own power

Stated Differently - It is better to prepare for, recognize, and avoid potential problem situations, rather than to react once situation develops.

This is the mindset we work to instill thru the survivorscout project.

Survival & Advanced First Aid

Learning Life-Saving Skills
Survival first aid and medicine is definitely not your basic first aid. The priorities of care are based on the proven methods of the Tactical Combat Casualty Care curriculum, with the main difference being the focus on treating the most severe injuries based on the most likely causes and mechanisms of injury.

Wilderness First Aid

WFA Certification Course
The Wilderness First Aid Certification course if offered thru the Emergency Care and Safety Institute, a Nationally recognized provider of emergency medical training, and partner with the Boy Scouts of America as the primary provider of Wilderness First Aid Training.
